Banknotes ‘Overloaded’ with Yantra by Mr Olivier de Bernon.
In Cambodia, there are banknotes, both local and foreign, on which are drawn conventional series of letters and numbers, sometimes combined with characters from an esoteric and spectacular alphabet – the na khvāk – or with elements of a divinatory numeral system – the lekh atta – to constitute the amulets called yantra banknotes.
