Japanese Language Program: Khmer New Year Semester 2026
The Japanese language course at CJCC was adopted based on the Japan Foundation Standard for Japanese-Language Education (JFS), supporting the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), which forms the basis of language education in Europe.
The programme includes content from 'Marugoto Japanese Language and Culture', where individuals from various ethnic backgrounds converse in Japanese on different subjects. The syllabus is designed to provide an enjoyable learning experience of the Japanese language and culture through various class activities.
Details
The Japan Foundation provides not only teaching materials but also support for teaching pedagogy. Trained Cambodian and Japanese teachers collaborate to lead classes, enabling learners to achieve deeper learning.
There are three main levels available:
Basic (Marugoto 1, 2 and 3)
Pre-intermediate (Marugoto 4)
Intermediate (Marugoto 5 and 6)
Enrollment Period: 9th March until 3rd April 2026
Classes Start: 27th April 2026
Venue: Cambodia-Japan Cooperation Center (CJCC), Phnom Penh
Date: Friday, 3rd April 2026 (enrolment closes)
Cost: USD $170 to $200 (50 early bird enrolments receive a JLU notebook)
